Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do I get to reply to a GST notice?
It depends on the notice, and the due date is written on it. As a general guide, a scrutiny notice (ASMT-10) has a 30-day reply window, while registration notices such as REG-03 and REG-17 have about 7 working days. Always check the date on your notice and contact us early.
What happens if I ignore a GST notice?
It can lead to an ex-parte order, tax demand with interest and penalty, blocked input tax credit, bank attachment or cancellation of registration. A timely, documented reply is almost always better than silence.
Can you reply to a GST notice on my behalf?
Yes. With your authorisation, our CA-led team reviews the notice, prepares the reply with documents and files it on the GST portal. Where a personal hearing is called, we can represent you.
My GST registration is under cancellation. Can it be saved?
Often yes, if the reply is filed on time with pending returns and clear explanations. If it is already cancelled, a revocation application can be filed within the time allowed. Send us the notice today.
Do you handle GST audit, orders and appeals?
Yes. We support departmental audit, assessment, adjudication orders and first appeals. A first appeal is generally filed within 3 months of the order, with a pre-deposit of part of the disputed tax.
What does a GST notice reply cost?
Fees depend on the notice type, the amount involved and the documents required. Share your notice on WhatsApp and we will give a clear quote.
